Susan Shepard

Waycross, Georgia is Susan’s hometown. With the exception of college at University of Georgia in Athens, GA, she has lived in Waycross for 53 years and always knew it was the place she wanted to live, work, raise her children, and retire. This diverse, rural, southern community has provided her with an excellent education, as well as important cultural, social, and faith-based opportunities. Susan has been married for 27 years and has two young adult aged children.  She recently retired from the Ware County School System after 31 years of teaching elementary-aged children and continues to work part-time as an ESOL teacher in Ware County.

Beginning her story in this community, Susan hopes to continue growing, learning and becoming the best version of herself through working in the exciting career of real estate. Serving others as a REALTOR® with South + East Properties is an opportunity for her to continue to serve her community with integrity and compassion, which is what she has discovered to be her purpose in life. Susan’s parents, both former educators, taught her to work hard, treat people with kindness, respect authority, and always apply the Golden Rule to relationships at home, work, and in the community. Before her Dad passed away, he spoke to her about the connections between business and education that related to people, relationships, and trust. Susan carries on his wonderful legacy and strong work ethic of serving our community and positively influencing others by guiding clients as they buy and list properties.
